Enjoy your visit to the
1997 Outdoor Exposition and Scout Show
Texas Stadium, May 3, 1997!

Flags and excitement were flying high
around the Boy Scout area, where
cooking and other outdoor fun exhibits
were gathered.

Monkey bridges, towers, slides, and
obstacle courses were great
adventures for Cubs and Scouts.

In the Cub Scout area, there were lots
of things to discover, like how to tie
knots, recycle, and understand the
challenges of the handicapped.

Games like miniature golf, box hockey,
and ball and ring toss were busy
all day as Cubs tried their skills.

A raingutter boatrace and pinewood
derby races added to the traditional
Scouting fun.

Here, a well-built "Shoe-a-pult" let
Cubs fling sneakers at targets.
A shoe in the bucket wins a prize!

Ever been inside a bubble? This
game was "good clean fun"!

This falcon was a special visitor
representing a group that rescues
injured wild birds.

No, it's not an anaconda - this is a
young python who came with some
friends at a wildlife exhibit.
