The 1997 Parent-and-Son Cake Bake Contest

There was a great turnout for this year's Cake Bake Pack Meeting! There were 32 wonderful masterpieces presented, and the auction raised a lot of money for our summertime activities. Thanks to all the boys and parents who participated! Here are some of the great
entries in the contest. All of the cakes were "winners", but special awards went to five cakes. "Cubmaster's Choice" was awarded to the
marvelous "
PIZZA CAKE". The "Biggest Cake" was the "CHOCOLATE FORT". The "Most Original" award went to "GARFIELD".
"Best Scout Theme" went to the "
TEXAS" cake, and "Grand Prize" was won by the "PLANET EARTH" entry. Congratulations to all!

A birdhouse and a swimming pool with
"real water" were clever entries.

Here's a very accurate model of "The
Alamo", with Garfield in the background.

This patriotic "Texas" cake is from one
our new scouts in Den 1.

Creatures of land and sea inhabit the
"Planet Earth" cake, and the "Pizza's"
box completes its realistic image.

A chocoholic's dream, the "Fortress" had
lots of details. A racetrack complete with
cars is an entry from Den 3.

A scout anticipates our camping
adventure with a grassy campsite.

The "Death Star" was a popular entry
with "Star Wars" fans.
